The Association

The association is made up of ALL homeowners and is the tool with which we the homeowners maintain our community and ensure that each individual homeowner is acting in good faith as stated in out By Laws.

What the association must, should and can do is regulated by three entities:

  1. Florida statue.
  2. The Association Articles of Incorporation and By Laws.
  3. Declaration of Covenants for Mizner Pointe of Boca.

Mizner Pointe of Boca Homeowners, Inc.

The association is a Florida Non-profit corporation with each homeowner as a mandatory and automatic member.

The association is executed by a board of directors that are elected by the membership each year at the annual meeting. There are currently five directors.

Association Objective

The main objective of the association is to with in the governing rules (see above) make sure that the maintenance and development (evolvement) of the Mizner Pointe community is done so that the property values of the members are developing above or on par with the market in general. I.e. what ever the association do; is done to protect or enhance the members property value.

Association Organization

The base of the association is its members, the homeowners; YOU. At the annual meeting when they elect the board of directors they are giving a mandate to them to execute the business of the association for the next year.

The board of directors are appointing committees and hiring a property manager. Both are tools for the directors to execute the business of the association.

The property manager is, with the approval of the board, hiring individual specialized vendors and contractors to perform work for the association.

While as an individual homeowner it many times feels like the association is the board, or the property manager, please remember that the association is actually YOU and YOUR NEIGHBORS. What the board and the property manger can do and does is highly regulated in laws and and the documents of the association.
